This book contains four articles publishes on Crimethink.com between 2011 and 2013 about anarchist participation in the growing social struggles in Barcelona. “Fire Extinguishers and Firestarters: Anarchist Interventions in the #Spanish Revolution,” focusing on the “15M” or plaza occupation movement; “The Rise of fire Has Returend,” analyzing the general strike and riots of March 29, 2012; and “After the Crest,” analyzing the temprary dissolutionof the struggles, the effects of repression and exhaustion, and the possibilities for returning to the streets with more strength than before, a possibility that may be coming to fruition in the riots, occupations, and projects of self-organization coming to the fore in 2014.
