Fascism and Big Business

23.00

In this excellent study, Daniel Guerin explains that fascism is nothing new or radical, but a continuation of capitalism, except this continuation is the prolonged, painful, barbarous, and oppressive dictatorship selected by the richest sectors of capitalism. Using articles published by Fascist Italy, Nazi Germany (economic data does not reflect the actual situation of these countries) as well as the speeches of the Fascist and Nazi officials (and their big business sponsors), Guerin demonstrates that fascists speak a radical language that supposedly demonstrates its hatred of capitalism, but fascists only defend the profits of big business (and even expands their profits) and claim that it is not capitalism (a different language is used, like corporatism, guilds, syndicates, etc.). Fascism and Big Business does this because there is much confusion on what fascism is, and many studies do not focus on the economic aspects of fascism, which is what Guerin does in his study. Although the book is designed to be relatively easy-to-read by anyone without an advanced degree, Fascism and Big Business can also be useful for scholars on the subject and in academic discussion.
