Around 100,000 others still suffer from chronic and debilitating disease. The site has still not been cleaned and no adequate compensation has been given. Clouds of injustice: Bhopal disaster 20 years on looks back over the two decades since the tragedy through a human rights lens, pointing out the responsibilities of Union Carbide Corporation and the Indian government. It calls for an international human rights framework that can be applied to companies directly, so that victims have effective access to justice.
