In `Thought Dreams’, Michael Albert responds to questions regarding how one may synthesize a variety of progressive theories-feminisms, Marxism, environmentalism, multiculturalism-to create a conceptual framework with which to comprehend the world and develop a vision for the future. `Thought Dreams’ addresses questions of radical theory, vision, and strategy in an accessible question and answer format. It commences with Albert responding to the most basic of questions: “What’s a theory?” This provides the foundation for the subsequent building of a conceptual framework (with the bricks being the concepts such as class, race, sex, gender, etc.) in the processual project of constructing a perspective and strategy for building a better, more just, society.
